Bert Kreischer Early Life

Kreischer was born November 3, 1972, in St. Petersburg, Florida but was raised in Tampa. Kreischer was a pretty quiet kid when he was younger. He went to a private Jesuit high school and then Florida State University, where he studied English as his main subject. His father was a lawyer who worked in real estate while his mother worked in early child development.

While he was at FSU, he joined the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. During his sixth semester at FSU the Princeton Review ranked Florida State as the number 1 party school in the US. Rolling Stone Magazine caught wind of this and wrote a story about Bert and published a six-page article later that same year titled, “Bert Kreischer: The Undergraduate”. Naming Bert as “the top partyer at the Number 1 Party School in the country.”

Oliver Stone bought the rights to Kreischer’s life story and the events that shaped it. Several writers submitted scripts for this project although it ultimately fell through.

However, one writer changed the name to Van Wilder and sold the script to National Lampoon. Ryan Reynolds starred in the 2002 movie National Lampoon’s Van Wilder, which was based on this script.

Comedy Career

Kreischer started doing stand-up comedy after moving to New York to work with an agent so that he could improve and make money from his comedy skills. In 2004, the DVD National Lampoon Live: New Faces – Volume 2 came out. He was one of four people on it. This made it possible for him to start appearing as a regular guest on the Comedy Central show Shorties Watchin’ Shorties.

As his fame grew, he started to appear on popular late-night talk shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live and Conan. Bert Kreischer’s own comedy special “Comfortably Dumb” finally aired on Comedy Central in 2009, followed by “The Machine” in 2016. These amazing shows led to his first Netflix special “Secret Time” releaed in 2018 . In March 2020, Kreischer put out his most recent Netflix special H”ey Big Boy.”

Podcast Career

Bert Kreischer was one of the first people to see the potential of the podcasting industry. His popular podcast, Bertcast, started in 2012 and has been running for a decade. Bert records his podcast from his man cave that was built for him a part of a home improvement TV show, Man Caves.

He has since continued to expand his podcasting career and now co-hosts “2 Bears, 1 Cave” with Tom Segura, and “Bill and Bert” with Bill Burr.

Bert Kreischer’s Net Worth

Bert Kreischer has made around $7 million from his job as a comedian. It is likely that about $900,000 of that amount was spent on business-related costs. Since Bert Kreischer has lived in California, almost 43% of the remaining $6.1 million would have been taxed by the state. After taxes, he may have made about $3.48 million over the course of his career. He has already paid roughly $2.62 million in taxes.

He probably spent $1 million of his lifetime earnings, but he still has assets, not including investments, that are probably worth around $250,000. He might have made $850,000 from his investments. So, the best guess for Bert Kreischer’s net worth is $4 million.
